The End of Winter

As we enter the last few weeks of winter, storage season is, once again, upon us. Do you know everything you can do during storage season?

The Obvious:

Storing your furs is the most important thing you can do. This needs to happen EVERY YEAR to ensure your garments will last as long as possible. Storage is great for fur, leather, cashmere, and wool. Storage is $40 per garment and $40 per box (for accessories).

The Important:

Another thing that needs to happen every year is cleaning of your garments. Cleaning your furs is so important because of the conditioning process. Without cleaning your furs every year, the risk of rips, tears, and drying occur. Once an item dries out completely, there is little that can be done to save it. We clean fur, leather, cashmere, and wool. Price is dependent on the material type and style.

The Personalization:

When you bring your garments in for summer storage, it is the perfect time to have your monogram done. Monograms are great for personalizing your items. You can have initials or a full name. If you inherited your fur from a family member, and wish to keep the existing monogram, you can always add your monogram to the other side of the garment. Or, if you have a fur that has an existing monogram that you no long wish to have in your garment, we can place your monogram over the existing one. Monograms are between $45-$85, depending on the type.

The Surprising:

Storage season is the perfect time for a restyle. Restyles can be as simple as shortening a garment, to as extravagant as turning a long coat into a blanket. This is a great time of year to change your garment, because it will be ready by the end of the storage season. Restyling prices vary.

The Fun:

Storage season is one of the best times of the year to buy furs. This is because you have ample time to put an item on layaway and have it paid off completely by the beginning of winter. Our layaway is 90 days, same as cash. At the end of the 90 days, if the item(s) are not paid off, interest will begin to accumulate.
